ANTI-AGING REGIME 101

I love it when people think I am younger than I actually am. I like it when I talk about missing out on not having children and people insist "You can still have a baby!" Most of us know that age is truly just a number and I wholeheartedly believe that. However, I still want to look and feel as young as I can for as long as I can.
This blog, via sharing, connecting, and practicing what I preach, is one way of doing that.

Happy at a recent Big # Birthday

Here's some of what's been working for me.
Red Wine
White Tea
Honey Comfort Mask
& Laughter...as much as humanly possible.

I watch at least one episode of Modern Family a week any time I need a lift. Whatever it takes to make you smile is worth the effort. And even though it's not a comedy I also recommend the film What The Bleep Do We Know. It just makes me feel lighter and full of infinite possibilities! Let me know if it works for you. Like us... it's magical.

THE BEST PART OF YOURSELF....

 AGELESS WITH AUNTY

Did you ever feel like you lost a part of yourself? When Aunty died last year a part of me went with her. I am on the path to reclaiming that joyful child-like Renee. The one who started this blog with pure joy in her heart with Aunty by her side.

If you look at the last post you could say I  am making a good comeback. The part of me that was taken away when Aunty passed is the part of me that was most like her. She was the quintessential child at heart. She loved to dress up in big hats and hide behind the door when I came home. She was always happy and radiant. Her smile could make your day. That youthful, vivacious, optimist is the part of me that I  like best and miss most. By reviving that part of myself in some way it’s like bringing Aunty back too. Or at very least, honoring her great indomitable spirit.

Even though most of the pictures on this blog are happy ones, during the last year in the wake of losing Aunty, the times in-between those happy pictures were not always so bright. Whereas before Aunty passed as long as we were together we were happy ALL THE TIME. It has not been easy to carry on without her. And regardless of how it might appear on the blog, I haven’t been carrying on all that well without her until now. I feel like I am making a comeback (even though I still miss that girl with all my heart). She is the best part of who I am.

If you want to reclaim a part of yourself that has gone missing….just take some time to relax and pay attention to the voice/vision inside. It is time to reclaim the best part of yourself. And it’s never too late. Just throw your hands in the air and stand your ground. Shouting "I'm back" is optional.

LET'S HAVE A TIKI...

This picture makes me happy....

I was feeling a little blue today and this picture cheered me up.
It reminds me of the Tiki Party I was recently invited to. My friend JoJo had her backyard all dressed up with lanterns and lights.
The weather was warm and balmy and her tropical soiree was as close to a Polynesian Island as I might get for a while. We danced in the moonlight sipping sublime Spearmint & Coconut Mojitos.

Why not throw a Tiki Party too!
When else can you don a blue wig, bumble-bee glasses, and play that outrageous new song Let's Have a Kiki!

LUNCH WITH BUDDHA...

My dear friend Roland Merullo has a new book coming out called Lunch with Buddha. I love the title. And, since his Novel Breakfast with Buddha is still so popular, I know this sequel will be too. Here at Ageless I like to encourage actions that make the world a better place and lighten our hearts and minds. If you scroll around you’ll see me, and my late Aunty truly getting the most out of life! We walk, skip, and jump our talk....while hopefully uplifting and inspiring others. I hope it’s contagious.

In keeping up with the high-spiritedness of this blog, and in the spirit of true camaraderie I ask all of my readers to support my friend, author Roland Merullo in his efforts to make his upcoming Lunch with Buddha a smash hit! By helping someone else we are helping ourselves. In true Buddha nature…. The good karma and intentions we give to others always comes back to us.
