I met Parker Posey, now anything is possible!!!

This is a very exciting post for me. How often do you get to meet one of your favorite movie stars? I had just posted about Parker’s new movie The Love Guide (out now ON Demand) and, as the good karma of this blog continues…. before you know it…. there I am posing with Parker Posey!

Here at Ageless with Aunty, we do our very best to stay positive and upbeat no matter what is actually happening in our life, and in return amazing and wonderful things continue to occur...

Many of my loyal readers know that I am having a hard time living life without Aunty (the Aunty in Ageless with Aunty)! At times I think my life went from color to black and white when she passed (only several months ago). Living with Aunty was like having the Dali Lama, Mother Teresa, and Betty White merge into one perfect roommate. So, as hard as it is carrying on without Aunty, I still manage, no matter how sad I might be at times, to keep going, to stay positive, and keep a good healthy outlook on the future. Because I chose to remain in a good place and not let any darkness stay for too long, nice things like meeting a favorite movie star, and making caring new friends, just effortlessly materialize.

When I wrote my last post, I knew I would be attending a party celebrating the release of The Love Guide. But, I had no idea Parker would be there. And, I certainly had no idea that she would be so gracious to me. Just chatting with her lifted my spirits. Boston actress, producer, writer, Christy Scott Cashman, has a new film out today…It’s called the Love Guide. And, it’s a trip….

Shot in Boston….This quirky and upbeat story is about a woman who saves her chicken farm and her family by agreeing to be the subject of a "reality show" with a celebrity Hollywood weight loss expert. Both women change and discover the true meaning of success.

I feature Christy here because she is certainly ageless. I know her from fifteen years ago, and when I saw the trailer for the film (which she wrote, produced and stars in), I almost fell off my chair. She has not only stayed young looking…she looks even younger than she did fifteen years ago! When Christy's not writing a screenplay, running a business, staring in a film, or doing something philanthropic, she MUSt be reading Ageless.  

 I hope to interview her soon for our blog! Maybe she will share some beauty secrets and give us an inside look at what it's actually like to put a movie together. Women who do it all AND have children simply amaze me! I would like to support her film and ask the readers of Ageless to do so. This comedy also features the sensational Parker Posey.

my jubilee

 Queen Elizabeth must have misplaced my address because I never received an invitation to her recent Diamond Jubilee! I caught glimpses of the historic event on the telly. In honor of the monumental affair, I picked up my tiara, plopped it on my head, and jumped into an awaiting limo. It was brill (I hear that’s what the Brits say when something is cool).  If you don't get invited to a party that you are hoping to... MAKE YOUR OWN!  Like the Queen says (when everything is going well)…..Tickety-Boo!

In the true spirit of the magic surrounding this blog.... while I was writing this post, I actually received an email from Buckingham Palace! I had sent the Queen a note and it looks like it was received. Or perhaps she has seen my recent post about my prized tea collection. I would imagine at this rate, I will be among the party guests for Prince William's upcoming 30th Birthday Bash! Since it's only a few days away, I will keep the limo running and the champagne on ice. And there's always a Tiara or two by my tea cup. And if by chance Kate forgets to invite me.... I will simply throw my own 30th Birthday Bash again. The last one was totally BRILL!

Doing the Ageless with Aunty thing

This is my young niece Rosie in a fashion show. Right after this picture was taken I ran backstage to give her a big hug and compliment her on a fabulous job. Her friend's mom asked about my blog. Rosie knows the motto here is: how to live well, have fun, and remain ageless in any economy. She said, "Aunty, if I follow your blog will I look as young as you when I am your age?" I took that as a compliment and told her of course she will! But, the only way to find out for sure is check back in with Ageless with Aunty thirty years from today, and if Rosie looks something like she does here, you'll know it works! I can save you some suspense though...following this blog helps instill an ageless attitude and healthy lifestyle. I have proof at the end of this post! Because here at ageless we don't stay down for long. We let things go! We eat healthy foods, we pray, and we love every moment of life...We are thankful for who we are!

And, speaking of runways....I heard there are some other super models who read Ageless with Aunty. Here is one of my favorites, Kate Moss. I apologize for the cigarette. Certainly that is not a way to stay healthy or to have fun. But, when you look like Kate Moss it's probably fun just to wake up and look in the mirror. It's probably a trip buying clothes that are a size one, and have every door open for you, and opened too.

We can learn from this picture though... I would like to say don't be jealous of gorgeous, rich, supermodels or the likes of. Jealously is not healthy nor is it ageless. Ninety-nine percent of the women in the world don't look like Kate Moss, and many of them are happy. The only reason I even posted such a glossy is... I think it's absolutely a stunning shot. I may not look like Kate Moss, but, I am happy for her. She makes the world a prettier place. If she really is reading Ageless with Aunty, I would like to ask her to replace the cigarette with a cup of green tea next time. Or, maybe ask her if we can take a picture together. Wow...what would that be like? Renee Gold posing with Kate Moss. I promise to tell you all about it, including her exercise and diet regime. We might not look like her, but, it's fun trying (as you can see below).

BABY G and ZEV

Since Aunty passed I have been making some new friends. What could be better than forming bonds and bringing new people into your life? And, here at Ageless we don’t discriminate. No one is too old or too young to be my friend. Take Baby G for instance. At six months old she is my youngest friend. Baby G is absolutely perfect and looks (at least in this picture) like a Baby Buddha.

As it turns out, she is as wise as Buddha too. She taught me to be more calm and quiet without saying a word. One day when I was meeting Baby G and her parents, I was in a gleeful rush to see her. When they arrived at the restaurant I ran over to the baby and started gushing and almost screaming with delight. I was just so happy to see this precious child. However, I may have been a little too happy. I was so excited I must have been talking in a loud tone and she started crying! When I stepped back, took a deep breath, and paused for a moment, she stopped crying. I realized this was little Baby G’s way of teaching me to calm down. It’s as simple as that. But, I still jump up and down with glee when I know I am going to see my G. Then I walk up to her calmly as if it’s no big deal that I am about to hold the world’s cutest baby!

The other new friend I have is the highly creative, talented, and utterly amazing Zev.

  I promised I wouldn’t rave too much about him because I certainly don’t want to embarrass him. But, I personally believe he is a creative genius! There is nothing he can’t do. I learn so much when I am around him and he’s only 13 years old! Whether he is solving some complicated mathematical equation, quoting Shakespeare, or pointing out a distant star, my brain grows simply by association. He is also a lot of fun to hang out with. Sometimes we just sit in the back seat while the grown-ups drive and he shares his mother’s delectable chocolate cookies with me. A playful child and a brilliant man all in one! Zev will go very far in life (maybe even to another galaxy) and he will do great things. His is one email address I am holding on to. In the meantime, next time I see him I will be sure to ask him if the theory of cosmic inflation is correct?

Zev, Baby G, and a couple of other new friends that I have not written about yet are enriching my life in profound and wonderful ways.  I feel as if my late Aunty is reaching down from heaven and handing me precious gifts in the form of new pals! Since this blog was inspired by Aunty, she is just keeping it real. Now I have ageless and priceless friends for my ageless blog. They are wise, beautiful, smart, loving and kind just like the woman who placed them on my path.
