Was Your Easter Bunny Wearing a Hat?

Does anyone know what the Easter Bunny really looks like? I guess it doesn’t matter. I just know that when you believe… he, or she, will always show up, in some way, or another.

I was sitting in my living room this past holiday weekend. The heavy rains had stopped and the sun was shining. I could not stop reminiscing about Easters of the past. I guess I should say, those Easter Baskets of the past. You know, Peeps, colored eggs, chocolates, and pretty colored grass. My mom, or Aunty and Uncle D would always fill one for me! It had been a while since I have been given an Easter Basket. At one point I said to Aunty, "Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring us one this year." Just then there was a knock on the door. When I opened it, in came our dear friend Lori. She held out a large gift. She had arranged and filled a special basket just for us. We were so surprised and delighted. Since I am a full grown adult, I suspect no one knew secretly I had been hoping the Easter Bunny really existed and would bring me a basket…and she sure did!

Like I have said throughout this blog, when you believe, things will happen for you. Be aware that what you wish for might look different when it appears. For instance, I wasn’t expecting the Easter Bunny to show up wearing a wide brim hat and Jackie-O glasses. But, she sure looked like spring to me. And, the basket she was bearing was filled with all the treats I recall from my childhood, right down to the Peeps!

AND THE AWARD FOR BEST ORIGNAL SCREENPLAY GOES TO...

Renee Gold

I apologize for the repeat picture. I used this one before in the Where There's a Will There's Renee post. However, since it’s Oscar Week, and this is a real Academy Award, I thought it was fitting.

The point I want to make is this…Every time we think a thought, and every time we speak a word, the Universe is responding to us. How we are being matters. If we truly see ourselves reaching our goal, and believe it can be, little by little we live into it. What we see and feel inside will manifest.

As far as my screenwriting and memoir writing goes, I believe this picture is a sign of things to come for me. I see it, feel it, believe it, and can even sense the feeling of walking the Red Carpet. Since I balance these thoughts and beliefs, and visualizations, with lots of hard work, and remain dedicated to a writer’s life, one day I will be recognized for my work. And the words Best Selling Author will precede my name.

Ageless Tip of the Week …Fake it Till You Make It!
And remember, the clearer your dream, the better the Universe can respond. As you sense it, you start to create it.

WE STILL LOVE YOU STEVIE

Stevie Nicks has been called the Queen of Rock and Roll. Back in the 70’s & 80’s I followed Stevie and her band Fleetwood Mac. My friends and I went to every concert they had within a fifty mile radius of my teenage bedroom. Stevie was the ultimate songbird. She was (and still is) a fantastic performer who possesses a unique and sultry voice. (Did you see her with Taylor Swift on this year's Grammys?) I have always appreciated her style, her image, and her mystique, as much as her singing. And I wasn’t alone. She had legions of followers…. We loved, and many still do, Love Stevie Nicks! I admired her even more when I learned that she would not give up believing in her talent, and refused to get a real job, even when her family put pressure on her to do so.

During Stevie’s solo reign my boyfriend’s brother treated me better than my boyfriend did. It was his brother who jumped up on stage when I won a local beauty pageant, and his brother who bought a hundred copies of the newspaper when I was a featured model. But I never thought it would be his brother who would bring me a signed picture from Miss Stevie Nicks herself just because I asked.

One day, after still gushing over a recent Stevie performance, I took all my mother’s exotic scarf’s and her tambourine (yes my mother was quite unique herself) and I danced in my room, carrying on as if I were Stevie Nicks. When the doorbell rang I stepped outside still dressed like Stevie and hung out with my boyfriend, and yes, his bro. My boyfriend’s brother, who was also into Stevie, told me he was going to meet our idol. I asked him to be sure and get me an autographed picture when he did. I believed he would. Here it is! I never got the full story, but I believe it has something to do with befriending her while they were both in rehab. What really matters is… I had envisioned an autographed picture of Stevie on my wall. I asked, I believed, and I received……

Ageless tip of the week….Ask, Believe, & be ready to Receive….

A NEW EARTH...

IT STARTS WITH US

Say Good-bye to 2009...no regrets, just lessons learned, and hurdles jumped. Hopefully there are some accomplishments you can feel good about, and some time well spent, where you made others happy, to feel even better about.

Say Hello to 2010. Trust that it will be a more prosperous, productive and peaceful year. Let us all hope and pray, and visualize, that this upcoming decade will be one that history looks back upon as an absolute awakening, where human kind took an enormous leap in realizing we indeed have the power to make our world a much better place, simply by each one of us becoming aware of our own potential. We have more control and influence over ourselves and the world around us, then we have yet realized. Let's start manifesting our own greatness and cultivate more compassion for each other. Can you imagine the collective results?! And how Ageless the earth itself will become.

Aunty and I wish all Humans and Mother Earth a Happy New Year, and we envision a Wondrous Decade of Agelessness for All...
